Late last year, Amazon confirmed that there will be a TV adaptation of the popular game series God of War. Since then, fans eagerly awaiting the project have received only residual information about it. Not surprisingly, then, in the web began to appear speculations about the show, which is expected to hit Amazon Prime Video.

One of them concerned the engagement of Dwayne Johnson as Kratos. It must be admitted that the Hollywood star would have been a solid candidate for the role of the iconic Spartan warrior thanks to his looks. Unfortunately, the actor's fans will be disappointed, as this information was denied by director Cory Barlog, who responded to the post on Twitter.

"I have literally never heard anything about this."

This short sentence will likely end the question of the former wrestler's involvement as Kratos. For the time being, it is not known who could play the character. In addition to "The Rock," one of the fan favorites is Christopher Judge, the actor who voices Kratos in the latest God of War games.

He is the one who makes this casting a tough nut to crack for the series' creators. Kratos has become one of the most iconic and recognizable characters from all the PlayStation games, and the version of him portrayed by Christopher Judge is considered by a sizable group of fans to be the best.

So it can be expected that the casting will not be easy, and the actor hired by Cory Barlog may face similar reluctance as Bella Ramsey playing Ellie inThe Last of Us TV.
