Youtuber ObsidianAnt checked how Microsoft Flight Simulator looks and runs on a PC that meets only minimum system requirements.

IN A NUTSHELL:
A video was recently published on Youtube, which shows what graphics and game performance can be expected by running Microsoft Flight Simulator on a PC that meets only minimum hardware requirements (using Ryzen 3 2200 processor, AMD Radeon RX 580 graphics card and 16 GB of RAM).
This configuration allows for comfortable play in 1080p, but we have to reduce the detail to "Low" and get by with about 30 fps (with occasional drops, especially at take-offs and when we fly over big metropolises like New York). Even with such settings, the Flight Simulator sometimes looks quite decent, although the blurred textures and constantly changing geometry are undoubtedly not nice to look at.
Unfortunately, raising the details to "Medium" on such a computer is out of the question (sometimes the game is smooth, but more often than not we have to deal with significant fps drops, which in practice make it impossible to play), not to mention even more demanding settings.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 will debut on PC on August 18. Later the game will also be released on the Xbox One console.
