Hideo Kojima is Preparing Something New For Next Week

According to Internet users, the tweet of Kojima Productions informing about an upcoming announcement teases that the next game from the Japanese team will be a new Silent Hill. We'll hear more about it next week.

P.T. from Hideo Kojima was cancelled in 2015. However, it is possible that the Japanese artist has another similar project in store.
IN A NUTSHELL:
  • Kojima Productions posted a tweet, which stirred the fans' imagination;
  • According to the community, the post reveals that next week a new game in the world of Silent Hill will be announced.

It seems that Hideo Kojima (or more precisely his video game studio - Kojima Productions) is about to present another title he is currently working on. Based on the tweet, which informs that we are about to learn something new soon, the fans have managed to deduce that the game will be a new Silent Hill.

According to the community, two things point to it. First, the use of the word 'silent'. And secondly, the inscription 'PYRAMID' (which of course refers to Silent Hill's famous Pyramid Head) on the pencil held by Aki Saito. It's also worth noting that the notepad contains the phrase 'Next Week!, which probably means that's when we will hear about the new title. Of course, for now, these are only speculations and theories of the fans, so take them with a grain of salt.

At the end of January, this year Hideo Kojima revealed in an interview for Famitsu that his studio already has several new game projects to work on. One of them is a 'big production', but at the same time the team would like to prepare a few smaller titles, released episodically or only digitally. However, in October 2019, Kojima announced that he would like to return to the horror genre he had already dealt with when working on P.T., the interactive teaser of the cancelled Silent Hills project. But did the Japanese really manage to bring the game back to life? If so, there's a good chance we'll hear about it soon.
