Horror Game Overdose to be Hideo Kojima's New Work; Henderson has Seen it [UPDATED]

The latest rumors suggest that Hideo Kojima is working on a new game. It is a horror game entitled Overdose. The source of this information is Tom Henderson.

Update: Kojima Productions indirectly confirmed the credibility of the leak by asking Tom Henderson to remove the article in question. He refused, but the text has been updated to include a proper adnotation.

According to new reports, Hideo Kojima is working on his next title. However, this is not about Death Stranding 2 but the horror game Overdose. The source of these revelations is the well-known informant Tom Henderson.

What do we know about Overdose?

In his article, published on Try Hard Guides, the journalist provided the following information about Overdose:

  1. The game is to feature the actress Margaret Qualley, who played Mom in Death Stranding;
  2. Video footage seen by Henderson shows that the game is going to be presented in a third-person perspective. However, there is supposed to be a first-person view option as well;
  3. The video showed a character walking through a dark hallway with a flashlight in his hand. There was a jumpscare at the end, followed by the caption: "A Hideo Kojima Game".

And that's pretty much all the horror-related revelations from Kojima. So there's not much of it, and it's all just rumors. There is nothing left to do but wait for further information.

The aforementioned article also mentioned cooperation between Kojima and Microsoft. Henderson reported that he has not been able to verify whether the deal has been finalized, but speculates that an announcement on the subject could come soon.
