In the third person shooter Six Days in Fallujah the players re-enact a battle from the beginning of the war in Iraq. The developers have put effort into portraying the events with accuracy, from the conditions on the battlefield, behaviour of NPC’s to the available arsenal. The game is also distinguished by some unusual gameplay elements, such as the system of automatically assigning roles to players. Many fans are wondering if there is a way to pick who you play. Find out the answer below.

How to change roles in 6 Days in Fallujah

The only player who can change the roles on the team in Six Days in Fallujah is the team leader. In the lobby, TL can click the name of each member and assign them a role. Sadly, it appears that the system isn't working as it is supposed to.

Role assignment bug in 6 Days in Fallujah

As of the moment of writing this guide, players report a bug where the leader of the team can only assign roles in a private lobby. In case of a match-made lobby, it doesn’t work. Other functions from the leader’s menu (such as the option to pass the role of the TL to someone else) still work.

What is more, if players stay in that lobby, it is possible for them to be stuck with one role instead of randomly changing it every session. It is unknown if this is a bug or a feature.

Developers have been informed of issues around role assigning so it’s possible it will be fixed in a future update.
