How to get Screw and Herptile Leather in Smalland
In Smalland, players have to use unusual resources to craft structures, armor and weapon. In this guide, you'll learn how to get Screw and Herptile Leather.
In Smalland, we have to survive in the wilderness seen from a new perspective: as a human tinier than an insect. Crafting armor and tools are essential, but this time, the resources are things we usually overlook as trash. In this guide, you will learn how to find Screw and Herptile Leather.
How to find Screw in Smalland
An easy way to find a Screw in the game is to check creek beds. The stream accessible at the beginning of the game will also have them. You’re likely to find several Screws in the beaches around other bodies of water as well.
Be careful not to fall in, as the water is deadly.
What is more, screws can be retrieved from devices discarded by “giant” humans. You can find pieces of electronics or whole items left behind, like a camera, for example. Check them carefully to retrieve their parts.
You will need Screws to make a Stonecutter Table, and later in the game, you will be able to melt them down and make Ingots.
How to get Herptile Leather in Smalland
Herptile Leather can only be obtained through refining at the Tannery. The resource needed to craft it is the Herptile Hide. It drops from Geckos.
Geckos mostly appear on the beach, but they can show up in caves as well.
Next, you need to build a Tannery. It’s found in the Building tab (you have to use your hammer) and the resources needed are:
- Fiber x5
- Flint x10
- Refined Wood x10
Once you have completed the structure, you can start refining hides. In order to make Herptile Leather, you will need 1 Herptile Hide.
The material will be useful for crafting armor.
