Inkbound - Console Release (PS5, Xbox and Switch) Explained

In this guide we will talk about console release of Inkbound. Read this article to learn more about its Switch, Xbox and PS5 launch.

Inkbound is a new game of Shiny Shoe. You may know this studio for their title Monster Train. Their latest creation is a multiplayer tactical RPG. You can play it also alone, though. It has launched as an early access version on Steam. However, many players wonder if the game will be released also on consoles. Let’s talk about Switch, PS5 and Xbox Series X and S variants.

Inkbound – Console release

At the moment, there is no official information on console release of Inkbound. Developers seem to avoid fans’ questions about this matter. It is safe to assume that ports are a possibility in the far future (if at all). Nevertheless, don’t loose hope.

In the case of Monster Train, it was released on Switch, Xbox and iOS (an interesting fact is that the game is absent on PS5 even today). Launch on handheld from Nintendo was a year after the PC and Xbox premiere. So, it is possible that Inkbound will also, at some point, get on more platforms. However, it is important to take into consideration that the multiplayer aspect of the title may be more difficult to port.

It is also worth to mention that the game is in Early Access. Developers estimate that it will take approximately one to two years to finish Inkbound. Probably, it is safe to say that any plans for ports will start at that point.
