LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Will Take Players to a World Full of Surprises

The creators of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga shared more information about the game. The title will enable the players to travel across numerous and vast planets.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  • LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will take players on a journey across multiple planets;
  • We'll find them full of quests, finds and challenges;
  • The developers will make sure that the respective locations are teeming with life.

The release of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is fast approaching, so it's no surprise that the developers are sharing more information about the title.

In the latest material the developers showed off the size of the virtual world. Skywalker Saga is to be the most ambitious game in the history of the LEGO series.

A galaxy as big as never before

The Skywalker Saga is a title that takes on the theme of all the major Star Wars installments. This means that in the game we will visit many different locations.

Fans will visit, among others, frosty Hoth, jungle-covered Kashyyyk or Tatooine, bathed in the light of two suns. Of course, there will be more planets - we'll get to them together with the progression of the story.

The creators also revealed that we'll be able to travel between them freely, because some main and side quests will take place in multiple locations.

Each planet will be filled with activities. In addition to the classic quests, during the journey we will come across collectibles, special events and various challenges. Players will even take part in feeding the Sarlacc.

Ton of details and vibrant planets

The world of Skywalker Saga is built of LEGO bricks, but the creators decided to use a lot of small visual effects, thanks to which the visuals will be slightly "realistic".

We're talking about the ubiquitous dirt, among other things. Traveling through the desert on Tatooine, the plastic bodies of the characters will quickly become covered with sand. In turn, walking through the mud, we will leave behind the characteristic square prints.

We will observe such effects on many planets. The environment and characters will also be affected by water and snow, for example.

The developers also wanted the selected locations to seem vibrant. Some of them will be filled with walking NPCs, busy with their own affairs. A prime example is the crowded and busy Bespin.

We'll find out in less than a month how these elements work in action. The release of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is scheduled for April 5. The game will debut on PC, PS4 and PS5, Xbox One and Series S/X, and Nintendo Switch.
