Map in Occupy Mars Explained

Occupy Mars The Game offers a vast world for you to explore. But does the red planet always look the same? That's what you'll find out in this guide.

Occupy Mars: The Game is a survival game currently available in early access, in which, as the title suggests, we play the role of an astronaut establishing a colony on Mars. But does the red planet look the same for every player? That's what you'll find out in the guide below.

Occupy Mars The Game - is there a map?

Occupy Mars: The Game features a procedurally generated world. This means that each person playing the game has a different map, with a different distribution of resources. In addition, the whole thing is infinite - when we are going in a certain direction, the game will create new areas on the fly.

Due to the fact that the developers used just such a solution, you won't find any map on the Internet to help you find your way around Mars. So you have to explore the world on your own and look for places of interest.

  1. To help you with this you can use a Spectral Detector. This is a tool that is used to locate underground deposits of raw materials. You can use it, for example, to find the water sources on which you will place wells. This will give you another place to fill your bottles.
  2. If, on the other hand, you are looking for new blueprints, you can find them in places marked on the map with a gray question mark.
  3. During your exploration you will also come across white question marks. In this case, they are simply some objects (such as rovers).
  4. Markers will also help you in navigation. Thanks to them you can mark places that are important to you. To put them up, you have to open the map (by pressing M), and then right-click on the desired point.

Early access to Occupy Mars: The Game is paid. However, if you want to check out the game free of charge before buying it, you can reach for the demo. You must keep in mind, however, that it comes from 2020.
