As it was previouslyreported, during the Square Enix Enix conference at E3 2019 Marvel's Avengers was officially introduced. The production received the first trailer (containing gameplay). The title will be released on May 15, 2020 and will be available to PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Google Stadia owners. In the game you will get the option to choose which character you want to control. The production from Crystal Dynamics (with the support of Eidos Montreal) will offer multiplayer (co-op) gameplay for 4 people, and all post-release content will be available for free. There will also be a single player mode in the game.
The creators also announced that the title will be a service game, but we will not provide any kind of lootboxes or pay to win microtransactions. PlayStation 4 owners will have access to early production beta testing if they choose to place a pre-order.
On the first trailer we could see one of the most popular Avengers line-ups, which includes: Thor, Captain America, Iron-Man, Black Widow and Hulk (although there will be new heroes in the game over time). The first thing that came to mind was that the characters are definitely not like their film counterparts. Although a skilful eye of a fan is able to see some similarities between the scenes presented here and the shots from the first Avengers movie.
The trailer also revealed something about the plot. Our heroic line-up has failed in one of the most important missions and has to deal with the mess that has arisen from the defeat. Dogged and blamed by the society, at first they decide to dissolve the team. Five years after the event, the world is in danger and they are forced to join forces again. We also saw some super villains like Taskmaster, Abomination or Purple Man. We also know the actors who play the main characters. They are: Troy Baker (Hulk), Nolan North (Tony Stark), Travis Willingham (Thor), Laura Willingham (Black Widow) and Jeff Schine (Captain America).
