Microsoft Prepares New Gamepad, And it's Not Xbox Controller

Thanks to Microsoft's cooperation with 8BitDo, a gamepad dedicated to the xCloud service was created, which is tailored to play on a phone.

Microsoftis very eager to pitch xCloud.

8BitDo is known for its high quality controllers (especially the Sn30 Pro), which are wireless and perfect for playing on smartphones, but also models dedicated to Nintendo Switch have a reputation of being very good devices. Microsoft, on the other hand, has been a very conservative manufacturer so far and released a new controller every generation, then added the Elite version of its gamepad. The situation has matured enough for both companies decided to join forces on the occasion of Redmond giant's advertisement campaign for the xCloud game streaming service. The result of this collaboration is a compact gamepad with the graceful name "8BitDo Sn30 Pro for Xbox cloud gaming on Android". Of course, thanks to bluetooth it will also work with any other streaming platform, such as Stadia or GeForce Now. This is basically a "special version" of the controller, which 8BitDo has been producing for a long time, the Sn 30 Pro. The hardware stands out with dedicated "Xbox" button and "xbox" button colors.

Maybe the term "mobile gaming" will gain a more positive shade.

What is the characteristics of the pad dedicated to xCloud? 18 hours of battery life, bluetooth, full configurability with the excellent software from 8BitDo, adjustable trigger(s) and a special holder to attach the phone to the gamepad with adjustable angle of inclination.

The controller can already be pre-ordered on Amazon for 44.99 dollars, and the official launch will take place on September 21 this year.
