NBA 2K26 release date has leaked. The game is probably skipping PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but Switch could get two versions
The first reports about NBA 2K26 are here. We learned its probable release date and the platforms it will hit.

Another insider, associated with the NBA, Shams Charania, reports that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will appear on the cover of NBA 2K26. Nintendo confirmed this by publishing a post with his image and the game's logo.

Famous insider billbil-kun provided the first reports about NBA 2K26 today. According to his sources, the game:
- is set to be released on September 5, 2026;
- it will hit PC, PS5, XSX/S, Switch, and Switch 2 (each Nintendo console will receive a separate version);
- it won't be released on PS4 and XOne;
- it is created by Visual Concepts studio, a subsidiary of 2K Games;
- in the standard version, it's going to cost $69.99 on PC, PS5, XSX/S, and Switch (the release for the original Switch is going to be a bit cheaper at $59.99).
Given that reports from billbil-kun usually turn out to be accurate, we most likely have to wait until this information is officially confirmed. The announcement and start of pre-orders should take place in July.
