Netflix Introduces Main Characters of The Witcher
Netflix has published new promotional materials for The Witcher. They focus on the main characters: Geralt, Yennefer and Ciri. The videos also show new scenes where you can get a better look at Jaskier.
The Witcher's marketing campaign is in full swing. We've seen the official trailer, poster presentations and first music pieces from the soundtrack. This time, Netflix introduces us to the main characters: Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill), his beloved sorceress Yennefer (Anya Chalotra), and Ciri (Freya Allan), the princess of Cintra. Each of the more than two-minute long videos outlines the characters to audiences that may still be unfamiliar with the original books or CD Projekt RED's games.
The latest promotional materials, which include commentary by the lead actors, reveal scenes that have not been shown before. The film depicting Geralt shows shots with Jaskier, poet and Geralt's friend. The troubadour is played by Joey Batey (Knightfall, In the Darm).
The Witcher will debut on Netflix on December 20. The first season, which will have eight episodes, will be available in full. Finally, it is worth mentioning that Netflix has high hopes for the series - the second season has been officially confirmed and the shooting will start at the beginning of next year.
