NFS Heat Attracts More Players Than Any Other NFS Game in Years

Need for Speed: Heat has been a great success for Electronic Arts. In the first week after its release, the latest installment of the popular racing game series has gathered more players than any other part released for this generation of consoles.

NFS Heat is popular with players.

Need for Speed: Heat, the latest installment in the popular racing game series from Electronic Arts, hit the market on November 8, this year. As it turns out, the title was a great success. The official Twitter account of the series has posted an information that in the first week after the launch the game attracted more players than other parts released on current-gen consoles.

In this case, a correction should be taken to the fact that NFS Heat is the first installment of the series, which on the day of its release was available in the Origin Access Premier subscription on PC. This makes it possible to play the game at a more affordable price, buying a monthly subscription for $14.99. In addition, Origin Access Basic and EA Access subscribers (which is only available to PlayStation 4 users since this year) can test the title as part of a free trial period, which can also affect the statistics.

It is worth mentioning that apart from NFS Heat, current generation of consoles also includes three installments of the series - NFS Payback, Need For Speed and NFS Rivals.

Need for Speed: Heat received moderately positive reviews - the average rating for the PlayStation 4 version on Metacritic is 72%. Nevertheless, the reception of the game was much warmer than in the case of the previous installments of the series.
