Nintendo’s Indie World Showcase Announces Among Us, Spelunky, and More!.

Early yesterday morning Nintendo streamed an Indie World Showcase, showing off many independently made games that will be coming to the Switch by next summer. Perhaps one of the most exciting announcements was that the extremely popular game Among Us is available on the Switch today!

Aside from Among Us, there are several other games you can download now. Calico, a community management game where you build up your very own cat cafe. Grindstone, a puzzle game hidden behind monster slashing and mountain climbing. As well as When the Past Was Around, a story-based adventure game of exploration.

There’s also a lot more to look forward to. Here’s a list of everything else that was announced:

  1. Spelunky & Spelunky 2 - Summer 2021
  2. Fist-ifluffs - Early 2021
  3. Very Very Valet - Early 2021
  4. Tunche - March 2021
  5. Cyber Shadow - January 26th, 2021
  6. Alba: A Wildlife Adventure - Spring 2021
  7. Gnosia - Early 2021
  8. Happy Game - Spring 2021
  9. Super Meat Boy Forever - December 23rd, 2020
  10. Kosmokrats - March 2021
  11. Hoa - April 2021
  12. Hazel Sky - March 2021
  13. Trash Sailors - Spring 2021
  14. Finding Paradise - March 2021

There were some hopeful announcements expected from the showcase that didn’t appear, such as the long awaited Hollow Knight sequel, but there’s still plenty to dive into here. It’s a good time to be a Switch owner and a fan of indie games.

Which game are you looking forward to the most?
