IN A NUTSHELL:
- A note posted on Blizzard's blog suggests that on BlizzCon we may get to know another character class to appear in Diablo 4;
- The event will take place on February 19-20, next year, online.
The latest note on Diablo IV, which was published on Blizzard Entertainment's blog, suggests that the next entry of this type will contain "something big". It is supposed to be a "new version of the scene by the bonfire", which was shown on the last BlizzCon. We see the bonfire on the class selection screen, so we'll probably see the next playable character to appear in the anticipated hack'n'slash.
Notes describing the progress of work on the game and various gameplay mechanics are published quarterly. The next one will appear after BlizzCon, which will take place in the second half of February (19-20). Everything seems to indicate that it is during this online event that developers want to reveal more details about D4.
So far, we've got to know three playable classes in Diablo 4: Sorceress, Druid and Barbarian. There are five character classes in total - who knows, maybe the developers will reveal all the missing ones in one go, and the mysterious "scene by the fire" will be the final version of the screen, which we will see in the full version of the game?
As a reminder, according to Blizzard's official press release from last November, Diablo 4 is coming to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It's worth noting, however, that we still don't know the specific release date of the game, and the next-gen console versions have already launched - it seems likely that the game will also appear on them, and perhaps even completely ignore older platforms.
