PC as Best Gaming Hardware of All Time - Golden Joystick Awards 2021 Winners

The winners of this year's Golden Joystick Awards have been revealed. PC won in the best gaming hardware of all time category, and Resident Evil Village was named game of the year.

We got to know the winners of this year's Golden Joystick awards, a poll organized by GamesRadar, which enables the players themselves to choose the best titles of the year. This is one of the oldest events of its kind (the statuettes were awarded for the 39th time).

Voters named Resident Evil Village as the best game of the year. Capcom's hit survival horror also triumphed in the Best PlayStation Game and Best Sound Design categories. In addition, the actress playing the role of Lady Dimitrescu, Maggie Robertson, won the Role of the Year category.

The best game of all time, in turn was awarded to the first Dark Souls. The hardware of the year was PlayStation 5, and PC won in the category of best hardware of all time. The latter award was collected by Gabe Newell. In a short speech he praised the PC as a gaming platform, emphasizing that the entire industry has benefited from the innovations developed for PC hardware.

It's also worth mentioning that the critics' statuette for the game of the year went to the shooter Deathloop.
