Peter Molyneux is one of the legends of the video game industry. The British developer has worked on a number of popular series, which at one time made him extremely popular and sought-after. The developer's portfolio includes the cult RPG series Fable and the strategy game Black & White.

And although the list of his successes is definitely longer, Molyneux became famous for something else, something that definitely does not befit such a persona - making promises that he could not deliver on. At the end of 2021 it was loud about his controversial game project, which would enable the players to earn money through NFT trading and blockchain technology.

  • Since then, the developer went off the radar. Until now. Molyneux recently gave an interview to the editors of Gamereactor, during which he shed some light on the subject of his next creation. This time, however, the Briton (aware of the exaggeration of his plans) tried to be more restrained when it comes to promises.
  • However, this did not stop him from revealing that he while he was working on a mysterious project, his team managed to discover "unique mechanic that have never existed in any other game before.".
  • The developer added that work on the as yet unnamed game has been ongoing for five years. Also importantly, the game, which the veteran developer is also co-programming (the first such case since Black & White), is expected to combine the strongest points of Fable, Black & White and Dungeon Keeper.
  • Molyneux did not want to reveal exactly what the gameplay will look like, as it is still too early for that. The developer only revealed that the game will be released both on consoles and PC.

It should be noted that the above platforms are relatively new territory for 22 Cans, the studio founded by Molyneux. Previously, it mainly developed mobile games, such as Godus and The Trail: A Frontier Journey.
