PlayStation Showcase to be Huge and Bring the Next Phase of PS5 Development Closer

Well-known journalist Jeff Grubb believes that the upcoming PlayStation Showcase will be a huge event. Through it we will learn about the new stage of PS5 development.

Those who don't necessarily feel satisfied after yesterday's State of Play will perhaps be pleased with the latest reports, saying that Sony is preparing an event of a much larger scale. Such information was reached by well-known industry journalist Jeff Grubb, who, as a reminder, some time ago graced us with unofficial, and eventually confirmed, news about yesterday's State of Play.

During the recent episode of the Game Mess Decides podcast, Grubb revealed that the upcoming PlayStation Showcase will be "huge" and will be used to launch the next phase of PlayStation 5 development.. According to the information provided by the journalist, the event will see the announcement of a number of new games developed for the current-gen console.

Interestingly, the event was supposed to take place last fall, but due to the unpreparedness of developers, it was decided to move the event to around the June E3 show.

"They are saving the good stuff for the PlayStation Showcase, which will be held before E3. The event was supposed to take place last fall, but they kept moving it because the developers weren't ready. Now they are, so Sony should have a huge showcase to introduce the next phase of the PlayStation 5," Grubb stated.

Although the journalist's reports mostly proved true, it should be remembered that the above information has not been officially confirmed by Sony representatives. Therefore, there is nothing left for us to do but to be patient and await the eventual announcement of the PlayStation Showcase.
