Realistic Shooter in the Vein of ArmA and Ghost Recon is Coming

New game for fans of old Ghost Recon or ArmA is coming. Direct Contact is a tactical FPS that focuses on maximum realism.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  • An independent developer is working on a game for hardcore tactical shooter fans;
  • Direct Contact aims to create the most realistic gameplay possible;
  • The game will offer single player, co-op and multiplayer modes.

Hardcore FPS fans don't get too many titles hitting their taste these days. Iconic tactical shooter series like Ghost Recon have become more casual and less demanding.

Fortunately, there are still some smaller, independent titles that are created with tactical shooter fans in mind. One of such productions is the upcoming Direct Contact.

Realism first and foremost

The creator of Direct Contact makes no secret that his game is addressed to a narrow group of fans of the genre. Therefore, he does not intend to make any compromises.

The game is to offer the most realistic experience possible. Before we go into battle, we will have to work out a detailed plan of action.

It's not enough to choose the right accessories for the weapons. We will have to deeply analyze the map, without the knowledge of which we won't get far.

During the execution of missions, many things can go wrong due to unexpected situations. In Direct Contact even ricochets can be a deadly threat, which will surprise many players.

The game will provide a diverse experience.

In terms of gameplay Direct Contact will offer the players a variety of scenarios. We will take part in complex military operations on large maps similar to the Arma series.

Fans of more modest skirmishes, on the other hand, will be able to engage in small but extremely intense operations, reminiscent of older Rainbow Six games. The challenge will be to control buildings full of traps and hiding enemies.

We will be able to play the scenarios both solo and cooperating with friends. Fans of competition with live opponents will be able to engage in online PvP matches.

The game will also have a single-player campaign, which may prove to be a good introduction to much more demanding multiplayer games.

Save the pennies

Erling David, who spent a year on the game, is responsible for its production. He is an independent developer, so one of the biggest challenges he faces is financing the work on the title. If you are interested in the project, you can support the author on Patreon. You can find many contribution options, offering various bonuses.
