The high ratings collected byJagged Alliance 3, Viewfinder (quite unexpectedly) and Pikmin 4, are proof that there is no shortage of very good games in July. Joining this venerable group is Remnant II - the latest soulslike shooter from studio Gunfire Games, which will debut on July 25 on PC, PS5 and XSX/S.

Today, the first reviews of the game began to flow in. I'm happy to report that most of them are crowned with high ratings - from "7" upwards.

At the outset, it is worth noting that reviewers agree that Remnant II is a game made much more carefully than the prequel from 2019. With a negligible number of glitches, the complaints of industry critics mainly boil down to individual mechanics.

One person didn't like the large number of fights, in which both the protagonist and enemies died from a single blow. Another was annoyed by the frequent clashes with flying enemies. There are also occasional tart words about the poor storyline or the sudden jump in difficulty level near the game's finale.

Overall Remnant II is highly praised, however. The procedural generation means that each playthrough can be different. It is made more enjoyable by pleasant, satisfying fights - both with common enemies and bosses, most of which have been ingeniously designed. In addition, there is no lack of atmosphere, and the audiovisuals stand at a high level.
