Resident Evil VII PC specs revealed

If you are going to play Resident Evil VII: Biohazard on PC, you can now check the game's specs. The minimum and recommended requirements have been revealed on Steam.

Although there is still much time until the release of Resident Evil VII: Biohazard, Capcom has decided to share its PC specs anyway. The game’s minimum and recommended system requirements have been revealed on its Steam page. It is noted, however, that the product is still under development, so the requirements are prone to change. It’s nice though that the additional notes give an idea of what kind of performance we can expect with minimum and recommended hardware. By the way, Resident Evil VII: Biohazard is going to use Capcom’s proprietary technology called RE Engine.

Minimum system requirements:

  1. Processor: Intel Core i5-4460 2.70GHz or AMD FX-6300
  2. RAM: 8 GB
  3. Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 or AMD Radeon R7 260x
  4. OS: Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 64-bit
  5. Additional notes: 1080P CPU/GPU at 30FPS Players will have to either lower texture or set streaming textures to OFF in order to optimize performance.

Recommended system requirements:

  1. Processor: Intel Core i7 3770 3.4GHz or AMD counterpart
  2. RAM: 8 GB
  3. Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 or AMD Radeon R9 280X
  4. OS: Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 64-bit
  5. Additional notes: 1080P CPU/GPU at 60FPS

Resident Evil VII: Biohazard is going to offer classic survival horror experience with less action and more scary moments. What’s new to this cult series is the use of first-person perspective, which makes the next installment somewhat similar to Outlast, SOMA, and many other recent horror games. Resident Evil VII: Biohazard is coming out on January 24, 2017 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
