Shadow of Mordor Devs Working on Innovative SF Game

Monolith Productions (known for Middle-earth: Shadow of War and the F.E.A.R. series) works on an innovative open-world game. The project will offer an improved version of the Nemesis system and will most likely use an SF setting.

Job announcements are often a great source of information about unannounced projects. The most recent example of this is Monolith Productions. It is a studio known, among others, from Middle-earth: Shadow of War, currently looking for a few employees for a game described as "the next big innovation" of the team.

The developer needs, among others, an UI specialist, software engineer and character system designer. The requirements in the job offers indicate that the game will be powered by the new version of Monolith Productions original game engine and have an open world.

It's worth mentioning that from previous job offers we know that the title will offer the Nemesis system, known from Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and Middle-earth: Shadow of War, but most probably it will not be the third installment of the series, because a scriptwriter who loves mythology and science-fiction is also wanted.

The project should be at quite an advanced stage of development right now. Middle-earth: Shadow of War was released in 2017, and in May 2018 we received the last epansion to the game. Since then, the studio has not released anything new.

We are looking forward to the announcement of the team's new project. Monolith Productions is currently known mainly from the Middle-earth series, but the team has a rich history, filled with such classics as Blood, Aliens vs Predator 2, SHOGO, No One Lives Forever or F.E.A.R.
