Store Leaks Silent Hill 2 Release Date - Adds Fuel to the Fire

It is possible that September, which is already densely packed with games, will bring yet another major release. The debut date for the Silent Hill 2 remake has been leaked online.

Although the developers of the Silent Hill 2 remake have been skimping on information about it, and there is little footage from the game available, it is possible that it will be released later this year. The title's debut date - September 29 - has been leaked online.

Where does this information come from? One of the users of ResetEra forum spotted it in the Australian online store Gorilla Gaming as an "expected" release date for the PlayStation 5 version.

However, of course, you need to take this info with a grain of salt - it may turn out that this is just a placeholder. In addition, the mentions of a release date for the remake of Silent Hill 2 was visible in Gorilla Gaming for a few days now, or rather, it would have been removed immediately if it was something the developers wanted to keep secret until the official announcement.

However, this year's release of the game is not out of the question, as in October, the president of the Bloober Team, the studio developing it claimed that the remake is at a late stage of work.

If Silent Hill 2 will indeed debut in September, it would be the next big release of the month. We know that Starfield, Bethesda's highly anticipated ambitious RPG, will be released on September 6. A week later, on September 14, Ubisoft will release a spin-off to The Crew, Motorfest. On September 19, two big games will debut - fighting game Mortal Kombat 1 and the soulslike Lies of P. Later, we will see the release of shooters Witchfire (20.09, early access) and PayDay 3 (21.09), and then there's the Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty DLC, scheduled for September 26. Thus Silent Hill 2 would close out this overcrowded month.

Silent Hill 2 is a remake of the iconic survival horror game from 2001. The Polish studio Bloober Team is responsible for it, supported by the developers of the original from Konami. The game will be released on PS5 console and PC.
