Sony Won't Abandon PS Now After the Launch of PS5
In an interview for Famitsu magazine, Yasuhiro Osaki from Sony assured that PlayStation Now streaming service would not be abandoned after the release of PS5. Also, the patent registered by the company suggests that the Japanese have far-reaching plans for this subscription service.
Famitsu magazine interviewed Yasuhiro Osaki from Sony (via DualShockers). One of the topics of the conversation was the streaming service PlayStation Now - it seems that the release of PS5 will not be its end. The subscription is to be further developed - we will find more games in it, but at the same time some of them will be available only for some time (such as the recently added God of War, GTA V, inFamous: Second Son and Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, which can be played until January 2).
The Japanese are not planning to make PS Now available on smartphones - it seems that we will still be able to use the service only on Sony console or PC. Recent reports from Wccftech suggest, however, that PlayStation 5 might be the best choice in this case, all because of another patent that has been registered in the USA. It describes a technology that the DualShock 5 can be equipped with - it enables the controller to connect directly to the cloud, bypassing the console, reducing latency.
PS Now offers access to a catalogue of over 700 games from PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
