Spider-Man Devs Insomniac Games are Working on a Wolverine Game
Inscomniac Games, the creators of Spider-Man have unveiled a trailer for their new superhero project, Wolverine. The title will probably be a PlayStation 5 exclusive.
Straight from the PlayStation Showcase 2021... Inscomniac Games - the studio responsible for Spider-Man (2018) - is currently working on a game starring Wolverine. Unfortunately, no release date was given for the title. We were assured that the game "is being developed with PlayStation 5 in mind". In addition to the trailer, the developers gave a brief commentary about the upcoming production.
"Marvel's Wolverine is a standalone game from the Marvel universe and is the responsibility of Brian Horton and Cameron Christian, who most recently helmed work on Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, a game we're extremely proud of at Insomniac.
As with our Spider-Man games, our goal is to not only honor what makes this character so popular, but to look for opportunities to give him a fresh twist and truly reflect the spirit of our studio with this one. Although Marvel's Wolverine is in the very early stages of development, I can already assure you of its emotional narrative and modern gameplay - our team is creating something truly special."
In addition to Wolverine, Insomniac Games is also working on a Spider-Man sequel, featuring Venom. The latter is due out in 2023.
