An action-adventure game set in the Marvel comic universe, developed by Insomniac Games, also known for the extremely popular Marvel's Spider-Man series. Marvel's Wolverine allows us to control the titular superhero, travelling the world, seeking answers about his dark past, and engaging in very brutal fights with enemies.
Insomniac Games studio is known for the Resistance and Ratchet & Clank series, as well as the Spyro platformer trilogy. The same developers are no strangers to superhero productions, as their portfolio also includes the highly successful Marvel’s Spider-Man series. This group also includes the Marvel's Wolverine described here, dedicated to the titular character.
In Marvel's Wolverine the action is viewed from a third-person perspective (TPP).
The adventure leads us through various corners of the world. This includes locations such as the tropical Madripoor, the wild, ice-bound expanses of Canada, and the bustling Tokyo. In each of these them, the protagonist has specific quests to complete. Furthermore, each of them becomes an arena for battles with opponents.
The fights are fast, dynamic, and extremely brutal. On the battlefield, Wolverine primarily uses his retractable adamantium claws, with which he swiftly deals with his opponents. On his path, he most often encounters regular adversaries, but from time to time he also has to face much more powerful bosses (such as the prototype of the iconic purple robot). Enemies represent various factions, and one of them is the Raiders.
The main character's relentless offensive and frontal attacks are encouraged not only by his brute strength but also by his regenerative ability, which allows him to quickly heal any injuries he sustains. In addition, by attacking enemies, the hero charges his rage, which makes him even stronger and more brutal.
Although the titular hero is an individualist, sometimes he has to join forces with other characters. In addition to him, among the characters known from the comic book pages appear in the game, including Mystique and Omega Red.
Marvel’s Wolverine tells an original story. Wolverine, also known as Logan, embarks on a journey around the world to uncover the secrets of his dark past, which constantly haunts him.
In Marvel's Wolverine, the main character is portrayed by Liam McIntyre, best known for his titular role in Spartacus: Vengeance and Spartacus: War of the Damned.
