Sony has announced that Spider-Man will appear in Marvel's Avengers in 2021. This character is to be exclusive to the PlayStation console family.

Sony decided to make use of its rights to the Spider-Man franchise. Today, the official PlayStation blog posted an entry saying that the popular superhero will go to Marvel's Avengers in 2021. He will be released as a free update and will be exclusive to consoles produced by the Japanese company.
Marvel's Avengers will launch on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 4, this year. The title is due to hit PS5 and Xbox Series X later on. In addition, there will be beta testing throughout August, whose schedule can be found here.
