STALKER 2 received its first major update, which fixes nearly 2,000 bugs. Most important, however, are fixes for the A-Life system.
Almost a month after the release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, the developers have released the first major update, marked 1.1. It solves over 1800 issues, including the first iteration of fixes for the poorly functioning A-Life system. Devs have warned that the patch is huge (according to players on Steam, it has 100-110 GB), so be prepared for a long download.
Let's start with the most important thing, which is the A-Life system.
Next on the list are improvements related to AI. Among the most important changes are a reduced number of appearing psionic dogs, improvements in the behavior of NPCs shooting from behind covers, better pathfinding by them, or improvements related to their peaceful behavior.
Of course, balance adjustments were made, including increased rewards for several quests, extended renewal time for the Snork skill, changed value of the Goldfish artifact, and improved damage dealt by psionic fields.
Many issues related to movie cutscenes, interactive objects, main and side quests, as well as the open world and its exploration, have been resolved. The whole list is really long, so if you are interested in detailed changes, I recommend checking it out.
In conclusion, let's recall that despite an imperfect launch, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 proved to be a profitable project and started generating profits for GSC Game World studio. There were even reports about a potential screen adaptation from Netflix.
