Star Citizen Alpha 3.17.2 - Siege of Orison, Anvil Centurion and Other New Features

The release of the Alpha 3.17.2 update for Star Citizen is fast approaching. Here you can find out what you can expect in it.

Public testing of the Alpha 3.17.2 update for Star Citizen has begun. Its official debut, on the other hand, is imminent and will take place later this month. This means we will be able to get acquainted with the new content in a few days. Here you can find out what you can expect.

Siege of Orison event

Siege of Orison is a new event that will appear in the game as part of update 3.17.2. During it you will take part in land battles on the outskirts of the sky city of Orison. Sometimes you will also have the opportunity to sit at the helm of your ship.

You will start the mission by talking to Rowena Dulli. Then you will join the Civilian Defense Force and support the Crusader Security forces in clashes with pirates from the Nine Tails gang. The entire event will be divided into several parts, during which you will gradually clear Inspiration Park districts from enemy forces.

Siege of Orison has been designed to provide players with tons of adrenaline. The sequels will be full of shootouts, and their difficulty level is expected to steadily increase. Completing them, however, can be very profitable. This is because the event will enable you to earn up to 380 thousand UEC.

Anvil Centurion is a new vehicle armed with powerful anti-aircraft guns. It is another machine after the Ballista and Spartan models, which was created based on the Atlas platform, so its appearance will be familiar to many players.

We will be able to use the full capabilities of the vehicle, operating it in a pair - one player should take the driver's seat, and the other should control the guns. However, it is possible to control the Centurion alone. In this case, we will have to leave the driver's seat every time we want to use the main armament.

In addition to the anti-aircraft cannon, the vehicle is equipped with a smaller driver gun designed to fire at enemies on the ground. However, this is an additional weapon that is primarily used for defense.

Anvil Centurion is characterized by powerful armor, which provides decent protection. In addition, it has stabilizers that will reduce recoil when using the weapon from a stationary position.

In addition, the update will introduce a number of smaller novelties. You will find information about them below.

  3. Jumptown 2.0 - the event was available for a while at the beginning of the month. Now, in turn, players will be able to take part in it once again.
  4. New AI navigation system - NPCs will get a new navigation system that will allow for dynamic generation of the navigation grid, which will affect how they navigate the surface of planets.
