Another Small Starfield Update Adds Anticipated Option

Starfield has received another small patch that added one of the features promised by the developers and eagerly awaited by players since the game's release: a field-of-view slider.

Bethesda continues to fix its space game with minor patches. The latest small patch for Starfield has only three items on the list of improvements, but one of them should significantly improve the gameplay experience.

Update 1.7.36 has added the ability to change the field of view using sliders, both when playing from a first-person perspective and when using the TPP view. This is not a revolutionary change, but many players have been asking for this feature almost since the release of Starfield.

The patch also introduces "miscellaneous" performance improvements and makes the game more stable on Intel Arc series GPUs after the update. In addition, a bug with the quest Echoes of the Past, which prevented the completion of this quest, has been fixed.

It's another very modest update for Starfield, although some players note that at least the developers have added one of the features they promised to be implemented after the game's release. It may also be that - as some fans speculate (via Reddit) - this approach by Bethesda is the result of player complaints about the development of Fallout 76 as part of large but rarely released patches?

Nevertheless, let's hope that the developer will soon grace us with a bigger update and add the rest of the announced features, including a button for fast food consumption and support for DLSS and ultrawide monitors.
