Steam Deck Now Available Without Queues

Steam Deck finally easier to purchase. Valve has announced that the portable gaming device can now be ordered without reservations.

It must be admitted that from the moment of its release, problems did not leave Steam Deck. In particular, the long waiting time for the device was a pain, which was related not only to the high demand, but mainly to the lack of components on the market.

However, it seems that Valve is finally leaving all the problems behind it. The company has published an official post on its website, in which we read that Steam Deck is finally available on sale on a regular basis.

This means that the American corporation has, at least for the moment, abandoned the cumbersome reservation system. However, the company notes that the capacity to produce, process and ship orders is still limited, and a return to the reservation model is possible.

A special docking station has also gone on sale officially, making it possible to expand the Steam Deck's ports or connect external displays. The hub from Valve features a USB-C port for power supply, three USB-A 3.1 Gen1 ports, as well as DisplayPort, HDMI and a Gigabit Ethernet port. The device can be ordered from the official website for around $100.

As with Steam Deck, the docking station is subject to the same processing and shipping restrictions. When production capacity is exceeded, a reservation system will be put in place.

Steam Deck has exceeded expectations. The very existence of the reservation system and the queues prove that interest in the device was not small. It must be admitted that many PC titles are ideal for outdoor gaming.
