Talented LEGO builders are often players as well. This combination of traits results in creations that are literally breathtaking.
This stand is sure to catch the eye of both LEGO fans and players. The structure standing on it makes a colossal impression and is truly massive, as it requires a two-meter-long table. This is a model of the Super Destroyer from Helldivers 2, designed and built by Austin Pankey. He presented his work at Brickworld 2025 in Chicago.
Austin used 15,000 elements and spent five weeks constructing the huge spaceship. It’s 6 feet long and 2 feet wide (about 180 by 60 centimeters). Transporting it to the show in one piece would have been impossible without the latch system - the entire structure is made up of three parts, held together by hidden handles.
Super Destroyers of the Super Earth forces are battleships equipped with various weapons, but their most iconic feature is the Hellpod launcher, which deploys elite soldiers directly from orbit to the battlefield. The LEGO model includes many details, including the bridge, which serves as the launch site for the Hellpods. The builder also carefully and accurately recreated the engines and weaponry.

Austin Pankey’s hobby is building all kinds of spacecraft and military installations, which he meticulously recreates using LEGO bricks. He’s also a gamer - he plays Helldivers 2 and named his model after his in-game ship, the SES Harbinger of War. According to him, he plans to expand his project further by adding a recreation of planetary landing. Custom-made Helldivers minifigures, which he shows off as well, will certainly come in handy with that.

Every LEGO fan can build their own Super Destroyer without needing a full table to do so. On the Rebrickable website, you can find many smaller projects of those ships, some even being pocket-sized.
