The Sims 4 Neighborhood Stories Gives Other Families a Life Too

The new Neighborhood Stories update brings the game world of The Sims 4 life even without player intervention.

EA Maxis, the studio responsible for The Sims 4 flooding the players with additional content in the game's latest free update. The most exciting news for fans of the title is definitely the introduction of Neighborhood Stories, which was announced in the last quarter of 2021.

Sims will change jobs, move, get pregnant and die in random accidents

Along with the new update sims that the player does not actively control will begin change jobs, move, adopt children, get pregnant, and even die at random.

Good news for those players who prefer to have full control over the game world is that Neighborhood Stories is fully customizable.. The update enables us to activate the system only in selected families, deactivate some particular life decisions, and also disable it completely.

Story progression system, present in The Sims 3, which made non-playable families make autonomous decisions, was not included in the next part of the game on the day of release. It was only after eight years and many mods simulating this mechanic that the creators introduced the concept to the latest part of the iconic series. Better late than never, right?

More novelties on the horizon

Autonomous life of sims is not the only new feature introduced in the latest update. In addition to the standard game improvements, fans of challenges will also find completely new scenarios.

In this and the next patch the devs will also improve the malfunctionning My Wedding Stories. This is comforting news that may yet reverse the fate of the community-hated gameplay pack.

In addition to the free update, EA Maxis has also provided information on the last point on the roadmap. On March 21, a new collection, Décor to the Max, will be released. This will be the perfect diversification for fans of rich interior design.

Will you be taking advantage of Neighborhood Stories? What do you think about the current update policy of The Sims 4 devs?
