Work on Titanfall 3 in On?
There have been rumors suggesting that the development of Titanfall 3 has recently started, despite the fact that Respawn Entertainment is currently busy developing Apex Legends.
Titanfall 2 remains one of the most interesting FPS games of this generation, but fans have already got used to the idea that they shouldn't expect a third installment, as Respawn Entertainment is busy developing Apex Legends. Now, however, there are rumors that Titanfall 3 is not only in the pipeline, but it's already in the early stages of development.
First, Brazilian streamer TheNeon_Beast revealed on Twitter that Titanfall 3 is being developed. He quickly deleted the message, but the cat was out of the bag. Earlier on, he repeatedly reported on the development of Apex Legends, which over time turned out to be true, so he's not just some random source.
Moreover, the rumour shared by the Brazilian was confirmed by Biast12, one of the most important members of Apex Legends community's data miners in order to find information about the developers' plans. Importantly, both fans were to get information about Titanfall 3 from different sources related to Respawn Entertainment.
If these rumors are true, the work on the project must have started recently. In May, Vince Zampella, the CEO of the studio that created the game, categorically stated that the third installment is not in development. However, he did not hide the fact that he hopes that his team will return to the series in the future.
Start of work on Titanfall 3 would be a surprise, as Respawn Entertainment seems to be a very busy studio currently. The development of the popular free-to-play game Apex Legends consumes a lot of its time and there are many indications that the team is also working on a sequel for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
Of course, if Titanfall 3 is at an early stage of development, the project is most likely to be handled by a relatively small team. It is worth mentioning that the developers were encouraged by the success of the recent release of Titanfall 2 on Steam. It showed that the brand can still expect great interest.
