Diablo Immortal's Competition; F2P Undecember and Torchlight Infinite Available

Two games competing with Diablo Immortal have launched. Both games operate on free-to-play model and offer cross platform features and are currently experiencing some launch issues.

Torchlight: Infinite launched yesterday, and as of today we can play Undecember. Both games are available in free-to-play model on PC and mobile operating systems (Android/iOS), along with cross-platform features. Fans of hack'n'slash games have reason to celebrate, although both titles encountered problems shortly after their debut.

Undecember not quite free

Undecember is dark title, in which we will face hordes of enemies using spells, melee or ranged weapons. As a rune hunter we will traverse a fantasy world, where various challenges await us. The title implements a classless system of character progression, which will enable us to create a unique hero.

Among other things, the developers have provided a campaign (acts) with additional content after its completion. The game also offers content to play in the company of up to eight players in co-op.. In addition, the developers have prepared a guide on how to connect a Steam account with the cross-platform service, as this was (and still is) difficult for players using different platforms.

Unfortunately, Needs Games' title did not receive a warm reception. Most of the reviews from Steam users are negative due to the unpolished microtransaction model..

Server problems in Torchlight: Infinite

Torchlight: Infinite is, in turn a spin-off of the iconic series competing with Diablo, released as an open beta. As befits a hack'n'slash, the aim of gameplay is to traverse a fantassy world in isometric view, completing quests and waging battles with often fanciful opponents. The players progress their characters by gaining new battle skills. Compared to Undecember the developers of this game have decided to adopt a class-based character system (at the beginning the player chooses one of the five available heroes). Despite this, the developer promises extensive personalization options thanks to extensive development trees. The campaign is divided into three diverse acts.

Some Torchlight: Infinite players report problems with servers, which should, however, be temporary. The game allows for cooperative play with players using different hardware platforms. Some users Steam complain also about the quality of the PC version.
