Windows 10 Gets Weather Widget in Taskbar

Microsoft has announced that a new widget will appear on Windows 10's taskbar, displaying weather and world news.

IN A NUTSHELL:

  1. Windows 10 will get a News and Interests widget placed on the taskbar;
  2. The widget will display weather information and offer access to a variety of world news;
  3. The widget will be installable on Windows 10 version 1909 or later.

Microsoft announced that Windows 10 will get News and Interests widget, which will be located on the taskbar. Basically, it will display information about the weather in a particular region, but when we click it, we will see the Windows News section.

It is worth noting that the gadget can be completely turned off, as well as customized - just click the "Manage interests" button in the corner to select the categories and subcategories of news that interest us. Apart from various news from the world it offers reports on movies, games, TV shows or sport, but we can also search for other things. There is also an option to respond to individual texts with likes and emotes.

The widget looks quite interesting, and a wide range of customization options means that it can be used on many computers. The novelty will be gradually made available to users in the coming weeks, and will go public in the coming months. Users running Windows 10 version 1909 or later will be able to install the gadget.
