Maybe the first part of that hint didn’t seem all that helpful at first glance, but if you really think about it, the second part definitely gives it away. Sometimes it just takes a second look to connect the dots. So, without keeping you waiting any longer, here it is:

And now, it’s time for some fun facts about the American flag. Since its creation, the U.S. flag has been changed 27 times. Every time a new state joined the Union, a star was added. The current design with 50 stars has been in use since July 4, 1960, after Hawaii became the 50th state.
It is a popular believe that flag was designed by Bob G. Heft, a 17-year-old high school student from Ohio, for a school project in 1958. He got a B- on for it, but after his design was officially chosen by President Eisenhower, his grade was later changed to an A. However it was contested by Alec Nevala-Lee in his article False Flag.
Also, did you know there’s an official set of rules for handling the flag? It’s called the U.S. Flag Code, and it covers everything from how to properly display the flag to how it should be folded and cared for. For instance, the flag should never touch the ground and must be illuminated if flown at night.
