Just like a year ago, Microsoft is said to be preparing a Xbox Developer_Direct, during which we should learn about the upcoming release plans of studios belonging to the company, as well as see new footage of already announced games.

According to Insider Gaming - citing an online tipster by the handle Zantorn - the aforementioned presentation is expected to take place very soon, during the week starting January 15.

History of past events of this type indicates that Xbox Developer_Direct will probably take place somewhere between January 15 and 19. This is because Microsoft is not used to holding its shows on weekends.

Although it's just a guess, the presentation in question will most likely start at the same hour it did a year ago.

Xbox Developer_Direct - what can we expect?

Information has appeared online - provided by content creator known as eXtas1stv - that this year's Xbox Developer_Direct would showcase new footage from such games as Hellblade II: Senua's Saga or Towerbone.

Speaking of Hellblade II it's worth mentioning that according toyoutuber Nate the Hate (via @IdleSloth84_), in Xbox's internal reviews the game received an average rating oscillating around 9/10.

Meanwhile, returning to Xbox Developer_Direct as such, rumors suggest that Microsoft - like it did a year ago - is preparing a surprise announcement of a sudden debut of a mystery game, which will probably immediately land in Xbox Game Pass.

Let me remind you that about a year ago, that's how Hi-Fi Rush launched, which received extremely positive reviews among critics and gamers.

While all this sounds promising (and plausible), until there is an official announcement from Microsoft, it is important to remember that we are only moving in the realm of rumor and conjecture.
