Xbox Gets New Microsoft Store

Refreshed Microsoft Store finally appeared on the Xbox One console. The new interface accelerates and streamlines store operations, and introduces a handful of new features (including those associated with Xbox Series X and S).

Since August 5, tests of the improved Xbox store under the Xbox Insider program had been carried out. Apparently they were successful, because the refreshed Microsoft Store is now available for almost all Xbox One users. "Almost", because players from China will still have to wait for the changes.

The idea behind the project was simple: to make Microsoft Store faster, safer and easier to use. This first goal has been achieved so well that the store will run twice as fast as before. The new menu loads in just two seconds, and as we browse, we'll see useful information about the title we're looking for (e.g. our friends that have it). Convenience is provided by features such as the option to go to specific sections of the store and quickly see the products added to the shopping cart. And for greater security, we can set more detailed content filters, opt out of anonymous logging in, and notification that appears when we want to make a purchase.

The refreshed shop is now available on Xbox One, but in this form we will also see it on Microsoft's new devices: Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. That's why some features have been added, such as displaying information on how to optimize the indicated game for ninth generation platforms.
