Bane - boss description
Bane is a massive Root Walker capable of summoning a weaker version of another boss - Venom. Its weak spot is its giant eye.
How to reach Bane?
Before you can reach Bane's arena, you must acquite the Dreamcatcher by collecting all three doll parts at Morrow Parish. Next, give them to the sculptor locked in a cell.
After fighting Ripsaw (fight described on a separate page), you'll find the key to his cell to the right of where the boss emerged from. Open it and pick up the assembled doll.
Go through the Nightweaver's spiderweb and insert the doll there. This will give you the Dreamcatcher.
Now you must go to Root Earth, specifically to the Corrupted Harbor. At the second checkpoint, go to the large area near Venom's arena. You'll see the corpse of a Root Walker. Use the Dreamcatcher on it to get the Walker's Dream. Use this item to teleport to the boss arena.
Moveset
- Reinforcements - the boss stands still and loudly roars. This summons reinforcements - a weakened Venom and smaller creatures.
- Stomp - Bane stomps, causing a large shockwave dealing damage and knockback.
How to fight Bane?
It's crucial to stay away from Bane while dispatching or avoiding other enemies, especially Venom. Taking a companion along will distract the reinforcements.
The fight itself is rather simple. Focus on firing at Bane's eye to deal more damage. If you shoot it enough, you can knock it down and stun it.
Don't dare to approach its legs, as it'll start stomping around, creating shockwaves. This is pretty much its only dangerous move.
Rewards
Defeating Bane rewards you with:
- Supercharger Mutator,
- Wooden Shiv (lets you create a new archetype - Invader),
- Scrap x100.
