The Weald Stalker and The Gnarled Archer - boss description

These bosses can spawn in four different locations:

1. Forgotten Field,
2. The Expanding Glade,
3. Imperial Garden,
4. The Nameless Nest.

They're Aberrations, bosses with various suffixes granting them new abilities. The fight takes place on a two-story arena full of pillars you can take cover behind.

Their Weak Spots are their heads. Both bosses like hiding behind columns, so we recommend equipping weapon mods dealing damage over time or creating AoE effects, such as burning the ground.

Moveset

1. Gunshot - the bosses often tend to regroup and fire at the player while hiding behind cover.
2. Traps - glitched spots can appear on the arena, which immobilize the player when stepped on.

How to fight The Weald Stalker and The Gnarled Archer?

We recommend summoning someone to make the fight easier. You don't necessarily need another player. Equipping the Handler archetype, for example, will let you bring alone a dog companion. It will distract the second boss, making the fight much easier.

Aim for their heads to deal much more damage. Keep moving and changing your position depending on how the bosses are moving. Hide behind the pillars, just like they do, to avoid their gunfire. Be wary of your steps too, as otherwise you can step into a trap. If you do, mash the displayed button to break free.

Rewards

Defeating The Weald Stalker and The Gnarled Archer will reward you with:

1. Bandit Mutator,
2. Hardened Coil Ring (go down to the lower level of the arena and pick it up),
3. Scrap x200.
