Surprise! trophy in Shadow of the Tomb Raider Shadow of the Tomb Raider Guide and Walkthrough

The following page contains the description of unlocking the bronze trophy Surprise! in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. The achievement is awarded for performing 5 takedowns using the Eagle's Talon skill.

Note - you may miss this trophy when completing the game, as it requires you to eliminate enemies using a specific method. After you complete the game, new enemies will not appear in cleared locations.

Eagle's Talon is a skill that is not available from the very beginning of the game. You need to reach a certain point in the main story line, namely, to explore the temple in Kuwaq Yaku, where there is a huge mural to be found.

Soon after examining the hall with the mural, Lara will reach the shrine shown on picture 1 (the mission is called Path of the Dead). This skill will be unlocked by examining it.

From now on, you can use Eagle's Talon to hang enemies on trees. The game will allow you to test this skill shortly after it is unlocked. Lara will be on one of the tree branches, as shown on picture 1. All you have to do is wait until one of your opponents approaches the tree and hold down the takedown button. The mercenary will be hung on the tree and die immediately (picture 2).

Try to look for trees that you can climb and carry out such attacks in each subsequent fight. Another similar killings can be carried out at least in one of the next game locations, near the overgrown wreck of a plane. Eliminate five enemies using this method.
