Fighting the jaguars and reaching Jonah in Peruvian Jungle - Rough Landing
This page contains a walkthrough for Rough Landing story mission (Fighting the jaguars and reaching Jonah in Peruvian Jungle) of Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
The section contains a description of the next stage of exploration of the jungle in the Shadow of the Tomb Raider (continuation of the Rough Landing mission). Lara has to reach another big fragment of the plane wreckage. She will be attacked by some predators.
Thanks to the bow, Lara will be able to leave this part of the jungle. Explore the western part of the first stage of the jungle. Reach the place shown above. Shoot a rope arrow (Lara will choose it automatically) at the coil of rope on the other side. Both poles will hence be joined. Grab the line and get to the other side.
Follow the path. The game will show you a cut-scene showing that you enter a jaguar ground. In one of the subsequent locations, you will have to fight two jaguars.
This is a pretty challenging fight. Stay in motion and dodge when a jaguar starts attacking and gets close to Lara. Depending on the difficulty level, you will either have to heal after the fight, or you'll be able to do it during the fight. Regardless, note that there are some resources scattered around - you can find healing herbs (see above), arrows, and crafting materials.
It's important to notice that in order to win the fight, you only have to kill one jaguar. Try to do exactly that - focus on one predator. Attack with the bow; aim at the head, but try to take quick shots in order not to give the animals the time they need to close in on Lara.
If one of the jaguars knocks you down, a QTE sequence will commence. Follow the on-screen prompts to win. Try not to mess it up, because Lara can easily die. After killing one of the animals, the fight will end.
Climb the wall to continue. Lara will notice the wreckage of the airplane. Follow the linear path and climb subsequent rocks. Then, walk on a fallen tree and slide down. Lara will meet Jonah and retrieve the Climbing Axe.
