Climbing to the top of the Castle in Croft Manor - Brave Adventurer Shadow of the Tomb Raider Guide and Walkthrough

The section contains a description of the first stage of the Croft Manor level in Shadow of the Tomb Raider (the Brave Adventurer mission). You control a young Lara Croft and the first task is climbing the castle.
Important - since this stage is a retrospect, you cannot go back to the Croft Manor at any point later in the game. Fortunately, even if you miss out any additional activities in the Croft property, it will not cancel the chance to fully complete the game and unlock the platinum trophy. Challenges and quests from the Croft Estate are not included in the 100 percent completion requirement.
You begin on the playground. You can explore the area if you're interested in collectibles and some additional challenges. They have been broken down in another part of this guide, namely the Can I go back to the Croft Manor? Chapter (remember that you can't). For reminder's sake:
- The Bullseye challenge requires throwing a ball (there are a few of these) at four different targets (an example in picture 1).
- You can find pictures, notes, and letters that will be included in the Mystery of the White Queen category in Lara's journal. On the playground and in the garden, you can find a figurine, two letters and a family picture.
- The most troublesome is the chest with treasure (a picture of Mr. & Mrs. Croft) that's located on the mast shown in the picture above. Reaching the chest requires throwing a few balls into the crow's nest. This will cause the mast to lower a bit.
To get the mission going, enter the garden and check out the wooden wall shown here. Lara can climb it.
Climb onto one of the balconies, go past a living-room window and hold onto new ledges to make your way to the right.
You want to reach a gutter. After a short clip, start moving to the right again. When you reach the place shown above, Lara will be able to climb on a part of the roof and then squeeze between the scaffoldings.
Use a ladder and walk on the narrow part of the glass roof. You have to reach its middle section when a cut-scene will commence.
