Mission of San Juan side quests in Shadow of the Tomb Raider Shadow of the Tomb Raider Guide and Walkthrough

You will only find one side mission in the Mission of San Juan location in the Shadow of the Tomb Raider game. It will be available as soon as you gain access to the location.
Star Crossed
The most important locations connected to the Star Crossed side quest have been marked in the picture above.
- A man with a woman - at the beginning you have to talk to a man, he will give you the mission.
- Cemetery - there you will have to talk to an old woman and a group of children, and complete a task for them,
- Crypt entrance - after completing the tasks for the residents, you have to go deep into the forest and open the crypt,
- Crypt - you will find Isabela in the crypt,
- Manu - Manu will send you to the tomb,
- The Thirsty Gods Tomb - you have to complete the tomb,
To start the mission, you must talk to a man. He will tell you about his relationship with Isabela and direct you to the cemetery. At the cemetery you will have to talk to an elderly woman and some children.
The children will give you a riddle. If you do not solve it, the children will not move and they will not let you proceed further. The treasure, which they are looking for, is located behind the well on the left side. When you get it, you must give it to them.

After completing the task for the children, you must help the woman raise the cross. When you do this, you will have to travel along a trail of crosses.
When you reach the final cross, examine it, and it will open the entrance to the crypt. You must find Isabela in the crypt.
The crypt is located in the northern part of the zone, in the middle of the jungle. Entering the crypt is not complicated, and Isabela is right next to the sarcophagus.
To get to the sarcophagus and Isabela, you have to go down two walls. On the first of these you can use the ice-axe and a rope, or go down a ladder. In the case of the next wall, however, you can immediately jump down, because there is deep water below you.
After jumping into the water, you will see the sarcophagus, and Isabela right next to it. You will acquire Kantu's Gilded Vest from the sarcophagus. After talking to Isabela, you must go back to Guillermo, he will send you back to Manu. Manu will direct you to the tomb of Thirsty Gods. You must fully complete the tomb. If you have previously completed the tomb, the mission will automatically end.
The Thirsty Gods Tomb can be found in the eastern part of the location, amongst the lakes. To get to it you have to swim a large distance underwater. However, the road is quite simple and there are no opponents or traps.
When you reach a closed room full of water, you must break the gates so that the water can flow out. To do this, take your bow and shoot an arrow towards the rope. This way, Lara will pull the rope towards herself and tear out the boards that are blocking the passage. After this shot, the water level will drop and Lara will be dragged underwater.
The water current will drag Lara into the next room. There you will have to swim through the narrow gap in order to get to the location of the riddle.
Your first task will be to cut the ropes which are attached to the raft. To do this, you have to dive and cut them manually. You must be careful because there are flocks of piranhas in the water. If they catch you, you have little chance of survival. Remember, however, that if the piranhas attack you and you manage to jump out of the water in time, Lara will survive. Do not make any sudden movements, simply leave the water and wait for the piranhas to disappear.
To release the second raft you have to dive into a small cave. The rope which is holding the raft is located there. When you cut it you will be able to use it to jump onto the rocks and then go to the second part of the puzzle from there.
A special machine is waiting for you in the second part of the riddle. You must first set it in such a way so that the water flows into the bucket (marked in blue on the screenshot above), and then quickly set it onto the waterwheel (red), and then move it so that it flows into the water, but does not interact with either the bucket or the waterwheel. Thanks to this, you will be able to move freely towards the open passage - it will not close under the influence of the water. On the other side there is a chapel, interacting with it will complete the exploration of the tomb.
After completing the tomb, return to Manu, he will give you an object that will increase your knowledge of dialects.
