Key facts about Julianna
Julianna is the most unusual of all 8 Visionaries. Fighting her takes place on different terms, having more of the element of randomness and not allowing you to carefully prepare for the murder. Confrontations with Julianna we've described in more detail on the pages Invasions - what are they? and Colt and Julianna - playable characters. Here are some most important facts about Julianna:
- You can't find Julianna in any assigned location in the game world, except for the finale. What's more, The Visionary hunts Colt. Julianna's attacks on the main character are called invasions and can occur at random moments.
- Julianna can be controlled by SI or a player - this second option is only available if you play online and thus "agree" to attacks from other players. Offline game is less demanding as Julianna is more predictable.
- The game informs about Julianna's appearance, that is, about the beginning of the invasion. Thanks to this you can prepare for her attack or attempt to escape. However, you have to remember that Colt won't escape into the tunnels and leave the district until you hack the antenna, which will appear in the area.
Murdering Julianna
When Julianna arrives, she does not know the exact location of the main character, and as a result, the hunt for Colt begins. You can take advantage of this and, for example, hide in a building or find a good viewpoint to identify Julianna and attack her first.
Aether power can also help you hide from Julianna, especially if you have the upgrade, which keeps the power bar from being depleted while you're still. You can safely wait for the antagonist to appear.
Remember that Julianna has a unique power, thanks to which she can "exchange appearance" with one of the standard opponents. It means that Julianna can look like an eternalist, and an eternalist can look like Julianna. Always make sure that your target is the real Julianna. You might recognize her by the comments she makes or by using supernatural powers.
A shotgun would be perfect for attacking and killing Julianna. You can also choose other high-power weapons for close or medium-range combat. We're talking, of course, about Julianna controlled by SI. In the case of facing a real player, you have to be prepared for different tactics and that the other player could unlock different weapons and powers.
Rewards for defeating the boss
Defeated Julianna Blake leaves behind random power or power upgrade. These can be, of course, the same powers that other Visionary have (Shift used by Charlie) and by obtaining the same power from Julianna, you do not have to attack other antagonists to collect all the powers.
Aside from getting the power, you can interact with Julianna's corpse to get Residuum and look for the loot she dropped - you can find weapons and various trinkets.
