Batteries are one of the types of interactive objects you can find with loot in the game world. Picking up the battery, bear in mind that the character will have his hands full. Also, avoid throwing batteries because they will be destroyed, and you will lose a chance to use them. In case of encountering enemies or other dangers, it is best to put the battery on the ground for a while.

You can also purchase batteries at delivery points. This can be a good method if you need a battery for some puzzle and don't want to waste time finding it. We have described the use of these stations on a separate page Delivery points - how to unlock?.

Batteries are used to power various devices - look for interactive slots similar to the one in the picture above. After inserting the battery into the slot, you may also need to pull a lever or press a button to perform an action.

With the help of batteries you can, among others:

  1. power up devices associated with puzzles,
  2. start generators,
  3. power electronic locks - this will allow you to unlock passages to new areas.

Charging used/empty batteries

On each battery, there are lights, and they show you how much they are charged - Deathloop: Batteries - what do they do? - FAQ - Deathloop Guide

On each battery, there are lights, and they show you how much they are charged. Every device or lock you will have to power up requires a battery of a certain capacity. If the current battery capacity is insufficient, it will be removed from the slot and the action will fail.

You may also find empty batteries, and they can't power anything in that state.

To charge the batteries, you have to use a special station, and an example of it is shown in the picture above - Deathloop: Batteries - what do they do? - FAQ - Deathloop Guide

To charge the batteries, you have to use a special station, and an example of it is shown in the picture above. You'll find one of the first stations of its kind in the Loop Control Center you visit early in the campaign as part of the main storyline. Other stations are scattered around the game world, and you can find them near places where you use batteries.

After placing the battery in the charging station, don't remove it too soon. Wait until the battery is charged to 100%.
