Dragon Age Veilguard: Chapter 6 A Warden's Best Friend

A Warden's Best Friend is a main quest in Dragon Age Veilguard available in the sixth chapter. It takes place in the High Anderfels and during it you'll recruit a new companion, Davrin. How to find Warden Remi?

The quest will begin shortly after you reach High Anderfels. After a cut-scene and some conversations, Davrin will join your party. Follow Assan, Davrin's griffon, along a linear path, climb ladders and jump on wooden platforms.

Along the way, you will learn Davrin's special ability - he can destroy chains, opening new paths. Order him to destroy the chain to drop the wooden beams that you can climb on to proceed further. There are many weak but fast enemies in the square nearby - destroy the plague cysts on the ground to stop them from constantly respawning.

After the fight, talk to Remi who is lying on the ground. You now need to move two statues to open the gate. Notice the coats of arms depicted on the shields held by the statues. Place them so that they face the identical coat of arms on the wall. Go through the gate and continue further.

How to find Warden Lancit?

You will reach a collapsed bridge. Once again, use Davrin's abilities to create another path. Defeat the enemies at the top and use the elevator.

Slide down the zipline to an abandoned construction site. You now have to fight many Darkspawns at once. Use Davrin's abilities to quickly remove the armor the your largest enemies. You find Lancit. Unfortunately, you were too late. After the fight, destroy the plague cysts to unlock the passage further.

How to save the griffons?

On the other side of the plague barrier, a similar battle awaits you, though this time you must destroy the cysts immediately to prevent reinforcements. Don't forget about Davrin, whose skills deal bonus damage to enemy armor. Get rid of exploding Darkspawns from a distance, before they get close to you.

After defeating the regular enemies, you will fight another ogre. Quickly destroy his armor with Davrin's skill. The rest of the fight will be the same as the previous ones - watch out for the club and area attacks. After defeating him, climb up the stone platforms to the upper floor and watch a cut-scene. This will complete the quest - but right after it you will have to make an important decision. Treviso and Minrathous have been attacked - you only have time to save one city.
