How to collect valuables in Dragon Age Veilguard?

There are a lot of valuables in the game. This category includes various collectibles that have no functional use. They can be obtained in many ways, but the main one is through exploration. They are often found in chests.

From time to time they also appear in destructible objects such as wooden crates, shelves or vases.

There is also the option to buy them from merchants in some cities. This is the least profitable way to obtain them, but in the absence of better prospects, sometimes it is worth buying them.

What are valuables used for?
